Digital art, graphic design and animation for the first event of EXOTIKA (@exotika.official), a residency at Lux Frágil.

“Rooted in the interplay of light and shadow, this piece moves through a metallic, almost alien terrain where fragmentation becomes its own sculptural form. The work was built through a combination of manual construction and digital manipulation, allowing it to exist in a liminal space between the tangible and the virtual. Textures were shaped, photographed, and transformed, giving rise to a shifting landscape that feels both reflective and otherworldly.

This poster holds a deeply personal significance. Created for the debut EXOTIKA event, it became our first visual identity — raw, bold, and delicately intentional. The composition fuses fragments of my artistic past with new elements of who I am becoming, echoing themes of transformation and self-reinvention that run through my practice.

Much like the queer spaces it was designed for, the piece embraces contradiction: roughness intertwined with softness, distortion with clarity, transition with resilience. It stands as a visual metaphor for evolution — an invitation to celebrate the shifting, multifaceted, and beautifully complex nature of who we are.” — Yuliya Liberda
